Do you teach children?
No and Yes! No I don't have patience to deal with children who want to be entertained! Yes I tutor children who are already showing signs that they have a gift for drawing and painting and are eager to learn more.
Do you have a beginner's class?
No. I believe that mixed ability classes work better for the individual and the group. Once a beginner, always a beginner! We are all on a path of discovery, some have been on that path for a long time and have taken wrong turnings, others have only just begun and found that they are ahead.
When do your courses start?
My courses have no beginning and no end! They run permanently, breaking for summer, and Christmas. Pupils come and go, spaces permitting. I have a waiting list if classes are full. Pupils have to make a commitment once they have started. If they miss two classes without letting me know, I will ring them and ask if they still want their place and if not offer it to the person at the top of the list.
What do I need to bring to the Class?
Absolutely nothing! Just yourself and your enthusiam! Oh! and your fee of course. The rest is provided for. I have internet access, a printer and a well stocked library of Art Books for your reference material. Canvases can be bought from the Studio, but your first canvas is FREE.
Can I have a private lesson?
You can of course, but it is more expensive that way. I charge £50 per 2 hour session and you have my undivided attention. This is more suitable for pupils who are nervous about making mistakes or feeling exposed. It is a really safe environment for discovering your hidden talent!
